Due to ongoing upgrade works on the Newhaven Swingbridge by East Sussex County Council, the A259 will be completely closed for pedestrian and vehicle access across the bridge, between the following times in August :-
2200hrs Weds 12th to 0600hrs Thurs 13th.
2200hrs Thurs 13th to 0600hrs Fri 14th.
2200hrs Fri 14th to 0600hrs Sat 15th.
2200hrs Mon 17th to 0600hrs Tues 18th.
2200hrs Tues 18th to 0600hrs Weds 19th.
Diversions will be in place for traffic to use the A26/A27 and the C7/A27.
