NPP would like to inform the residents and visitors to Newhaven West Quay area that we are due to commence works to upgrade fishing stage no. 16/17 located at the north end of the West Quay, between The Ark public house and the A259.
The works will commence on or around TUESDAY 7TH MAY 2013 and will last for approximately 4 weeks.
Our aim is to reduce disruption to nearby residents. Works will be carried out during normal working hours from 08:00-18:00, Monday to Friday. Due to tidal limitations, for safety reasons beyond our control, the works may very occasionally and over-run these times.
We may choose to carry out silent non-disruptive works during the weekends if required.
The majority of the work will be carried out on the fishing stage so we anticipate very little disruption to residents or visitors.
These essential works are to improve the facilities for the local fishermen and are part of the on-going improvements and appearance of the West Quay.
